'A wheel of compliments' - card

#kaisercraft #challenge #daydreamer #circles Hey everyone! So it has been very hard to not pro craft inate whilst studying for my exams, but since they are over I can now create guilt free! Kaisercraft's June blog challenge is circles, so I took the challenge quite literally and made a circle card, but with a little spin to it... I saw the stamp set from Kaisercraft's 'Daydreamer' collection and I just had to have it! Nothing like doing some craft shopping to celebrate the end of exams! Also got the paper pad as well just because I couldn't resist! :) To make this spinning card you need two wheels, one with an opening (I will refer to this as the 'top wheel') and a wheel with all the sentiments (I will refer to this as the base wheel). I used three sheets of patterned paper from the pad, two of which were the same pattern and then I cut them down to circles with a diameter of 6 1/2 inches (used a compass to draw the circles). I also used a whit

'You make my day so much brighter' - cards

#bombay sunset #shaker card #scraps #sequins I love shaker cards, they are so much fun to make and I'm sure that they are a lot of fun to receive too. I think Kaisercraft's bright and colourful 'Bombay sunset' collection is great for fun cards like these! I also made another card (a very simplistic card) with the leftover cutouts from the shaker card. For the shaker card I used a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch black note card for the base of the card. I cut out a 5 x 5 inch square from some patterned paper and then die-cut a circle from the centre of it.  To create the shaker window I used a piece of heat resistant acetate and heat embossed a sentiment using versamark ink and white embossing powder. Then I cut the acetate into a circle and then adhered it to the patterned paper with the circle cut out. For the shaker part of this card I used pink iridescent circle and star sequins. To put the card together I put the sequins in the centre of the black note card th

'Dare to travel' - photo layout

#kaisercraft #ubud dreams #challenge Hey everyone, so here is a project I did before I had this blog up and running. The 'Ubud dreams' collection is just gorgeous, it was my favourite paper collection to date until 'Indigo skies' came along... Kaisercraft just keeps outdoing themselves! I actually submitted this photo layout to Kaisercraft's January blog challenge (and won!) My photo taking skills have improved since then so I decided to share some of the details of the project. It was a bingo challenge and I picked the line 'stitching, confetti pocket, printed papers only, typed journaling'. I thought it would be fun to make the doors 'open' on the layout to reveal a message. I used two 3 x 2 inch pieces of plastic and stuck one edge to the outer edge of the pocket rectangle, and the inner edges to the door. I added some rose gold brads for the door knobs. Check out my instagram to see it in action!  I also used a few diff
