'Snow and Sparkle' - card

Image
#LetItSnow #Sparkle #KCShakerChallenge5 Hi everyone, today I'm sharing a card I made for a challenge by Kaisercraft. The challenge said we could make either a shaker card, tag or ornament. I went for the shaker card option! They also mentioned they'd love to see creations using their 'Let It Snow' collection; good thing I had bought the paper pad and flourishes the previous day! XD I've started using Instagram stories as a platform to share my papercrafting process as I make the card in real-time. They are not as detailed as a video tutorial, but the idea is to show that crafting is rarely a linear process and that it can vary a lot as you create! So make sure to follow me on Instagram! @scrapwithstardust *** Shaker cards are one of my favourite types of cards to make, they are just so much fun to create! For this card, I used a 5 5/16 inch square notecard (I used a 10 5/8 x 5 5/16 inch piece of white cardstock and folded it in half to make the not...

'Noel, Noel' - cards

#christmas #firstnoel #peace Ever needed to make a bunch of Christmas cards in a short amount of time? Well here's a bunch of cards I made in under an hour***. I'm trying to create cards that produce minimal scraps, and the design of these cards maximises the use of the patterned paper! ***In order for this card making process to be quick, you will need a paper cutter/trimmer and some pre-made notecards for the card bases, the notecards I used were 4 1/4 x 6 1/8 inches from Kaisercraft :) The 'First Noel' collection by Kaisercraft is just gorgeous, I was immediately drawn to the papers with the stunning gold foil, just look at them! Sooooo pretty! However, I thought I would challenge myself to use the papers that I typically don't reach for first. They don't stand out as much but have some adorable patterns. I used the four patterned designs shown above (from the 6.5 inch paper pad) and cut them up in the following way. To do this you will nee...

'Christmas 2018' - cards

#kaisercraft #challenge #christmas Hey everyone! So here's a set of four cards I made that was inspired by this month's Kaisercraft blog challenge . I decided to create four cards each with a different line AND using different Christmas collections! It was definitely a challenge! The main reason I decided to do this was I needed to use up my older Christmas collections to make way for the new ones! :) For each of these cards, I used a 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 inch white note card and used a 5 x 5 inch piece of patterned paper as the background. I also used two square stitched dies to create a stitched square frame, and a smaller stitched square die to cut out a small stitched square. At this stage, you should have four cards with patterned paper backgrounds. You should also have four stitched frames and four small stitched squares :) *** Card 1 - 'Silent Night' collection For this card I selected, 'ornaments', 'christmas quote', 'gold ...

'Christmas 2017' - cards

#happy holidays #christmas #2017 Hey everyone so here are a few Christmas cards I made this year. I'm probably a little late to post these but I thought I'd post them before the new year came around! Card 1 - Stamping, embossing & mists I used white weave cardstock to create 4 x 5.5 inch notecard for the base of the card. Then I cut some water colour paper to 4 x 5.5 inches and temporarily adhered it to my silicon cutting mat. I stamped some snowflakes and a Christmas sentiment using versamark ink. Then I added some white embossing powder and heat set the powder. Once it had dried I use some blue and grey shimmer mists mixed with some water to create the background. I started with the lightest shade, dried it with a heat gun and then added the next colour. I made sure to add the darkest shades of blue around the snowflakes and sentiment so they would stand out. Materials used: Cardstock - white | Watercolour paper | Clear stamps - Frosted, Mint Wishes (KC) | ...

'Countdown to Christmas' - frame

#mint wishes #christmas #countdown Hey everyone, so I haven't posted for the past few months, but uni exams are over so it's time to craft! Okay, so Kaisercraft came out with this gorgeous Christmas collection, ‘Mint wishes’ and it’s probably my favourite Christmas collection of all time! Yes, it’s not very representative of an Australian Christmas, but it is gorgeous, so I decided to create a Christmas countdown with it! I’ve had one of those wooden frames for a while (bought it from Spotlight a long time ago...) and I didn’t know what to do with it until this collection came out, typically it's used for photo frames, but I decided to use it for this Christmas countdown. First I printed off some squares (6.5 x 6.5 cm) with numbers ranging from 1 to 24.  I cut out these squares using a square stitch die. Using some patterned paper I cut another square (same size as the numbered squares) and added a collectable that had the December month and a 'Merry...
